Michael Nark, President & Chief Executive Officer
Michael Nark joined Power Analytics as President and CEO in August of 2012. He has a proven track record of building successful, efficient organizations and experience in leading companies to profitable growth. He has a broad background spanning over 25 years in software and technology-enabled service delivery businesses with extensive experience in sales, marketing and operations. Michael most recently served as President and CEO of Prenova, a privately-held energy management services provider to the C&l marketplace. While at Prenova, he led the business to triple digit growth and expanded it's software and services into the demand management side of the market. This growth ultimately resulted in a strategic sale of the company to a division of a major west coast utility, Avista, in November of 2011. Prior to Prenova, he served as President and CEO of GEOCOMtms, a privately-held fleet management software provider to the oil and gas marketplace. Prior to joining GEOCOMtms, he served as Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales for Datastream, a company that provides asset management software to more than 60 percent of the Fortune 500. He successfully implemented several initiatives, which integrated the various sales organizations, resulting in significant efficiency improvements and double-digit license growth. Prior to joining Datastream, he served as Vice President of Sales for Logility (Nasdaq: LGTY), a leading provider of collaborative solutions to optimize the supply chain, where he effectively repositioned the sales organization around vertical markets and drove a results-based ROI sales model.
Michael holds a B.S. in Engineering from Miami University.
Kevin Meagher, Chief Technology Officer
Kevin Meagher is responsible for a wide range of product direction, business development and strategic planning. As the creator of the power system analytics concept and definition, Kevin leads the Company’s technology development and strategy as well as critical strategic relationships in emerging technologies. Recently named to the “100 People You Must Know in Smart Grid” list by GreenTech Media, Kevin is recognized as an industry expert in the areas of data acquisition, data analysis, expert systems and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Power Analytics, Kevin was president of a boutique business consulting company that worked closely in product planning, strategic planning and business valuation for public companies such as Eaton, Invensys General Electric, and Alpha Technology, as well as leading venture capital and private equity firms from Wall Street to Silicon Valley. Kevin has authored numerous technology works and has been a frequent speaker on power and energy management and related technologies.
Kevin has undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Business, and an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado as well as doctoral work in Knowledge Management. Kevin also holds a Master Captain's License from the USCG and has a current commission in the U.S. Merchant Marine.
Doug Whitmer, Vice President of Sales
Doug joined Power Analytics with more than 20 years of executive-level sales and marketing experience in the critical power and data center environments. Prior to joining Power Analytics, he served as Vice President of Sales for the Global Accounts Division of Eaton Corporation, where he oversaw all Eaton business activity with selected global customers like HP, IBM, Avaya, and Siemens. Previously, Doug served as the IBM and Lucent Global Account Executive for the Eaton Power systems division in Phoenix, AZ. San Diego, CA. and Raleigh, North Carolina.
Earlier in Doug ’s career, he held various sales, sales management, and rep management positions with Liebert Corporation and Oneac Corporation. Doug has also owned and operated an Independent Rep organization in Phoenix, Arizona serving the data center power and cooling markets.
Doug holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Keenan-Flagler School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from The Ohio State University, where he was a three-time varsity letterman for The Ohio State Buckeyes football team.
Silviu Darie, PhD, EE, PE, Vice President of Consulting & Engineering
Prof. Dr. Darie has more than 20 years work experience with Power Analytics products, and nearly 40 years of University-level electrical engineering instruction and industry consultancy in power system analysis computer applications, electrical energy distribution, electrical energy management, demand side management, power quality, transmission pricing, embedded generation, computer aided power system analysis and design. In addition to earning both his Doctorate and Master's degrees in electrical engineering, he has authored or co-authored hundreds of technical books, student manuals, technical papers, and research projects.
Dr. Darie is a former professor of Power Systems & Electrical Engineering in Technical University of Cluj Napoca, Romania, University of Cape Town, South Africa as well as a former Visiting professor in Ecole Politechnique de Lausane, Suisse. He has received several awards and recognitions throughout his years of expertise including the Award Professor for life of Faculty of Engineering, University of Cape Town 1993, Romanian National Research Award. Since 2005 he is the Vice President of Consulting and Engineering in Power Analytics Corporation company.
Dr. Darie led nearly 180 electrical power projects world wide; he constructed 18 prototypes designed for mass production, holds three patents, and is experienced in most leading software programs for electrical engineering. He has provided services to clients worldwide, and is a registered professional engineer in Romania, South Africa, and New Zealand.
