San Diego, Calif., Aug. 31, 2012 – Power Analytics™ Corporation, the leader in advanced electrical power software solutions, has introduced three unique packages for universities to perform electrical engineering modeling and analysis using Paladin® DesignBase™ software. The University Program includes:
The Paladin University (U) Teaching Edition is provided at no cost to universities and provides 20 seats of Power Analytics premium software for use in electrical engineering departments for teaching and graduate level thesis research purposes.
The Paladin University Research (UR) Edition is designed for graduate student grant-based research and provides 10 seats of the DesignBase Power 2000 product at a greatly reduced rate for use in graduate level research projects.
Paladin Research Lab enables researchers to run Paladin DesignBase analytic function (power flow, voltage stability, etc.) within their research environment. Research Lab also enables programmable read/write into DesignBase database and it is well suited for university research, development and deployment of microgrid control algorithms.
“Our Paladin University Program and the new Research Lab option for DesignBase was specifically created to advance the study of electrical engineering at the university level and represents our continued commitment to academic and research facilities around the world,” said Dr. Brian Radibratovic, Director of Power Engineering for Power Analytics.
To further emphasize the Company’s commitment, each academic year Power Analytics will extend one complimentary seat of DesignBase software training to a contracting professor engaged in one of Power Analytics’ university programs.
DesignBase is used by engineers worldwide for the design and analysis of electrical power systems. It is the most comprehensive power systems modeling platform available today and supports the widest range of solar, wind, nuclear and other power sources for reliability and energy efficiency.
