SAN DIEGO, Calif. – November 4, 2011 – Power Analytics Corporation, the industry leader in advanced electrical power software solutions, today named M.K. Kellogg as director of business development for Paladin® DesignBase™ software and related services.

“Ms. Kellogg brings extensive experience in high-tech business development to our company,” said Power Analytics Chairman & CEO Mark Ascolese. “She’s spent more than 15 years as a business development specialist, and the last 10 years were focused on the electricity market and, specifically, on transmission planning.”

Kellogg brings significant sales management experience to Power Analytics and will lead the sales team — reporting to Vice President of Sales, Doug Whitmer — and all marketing efforts for Paladin DesignBase software, training and expert services.

“We are excited to have Ms. Kellogg lead business development for Paladin DesignBase,” said Whitmer. “Her knowledge and experience in this market space will be instrumental in positioning our best-of-breed software as the most innovative electric system planning tool on the market for mission-critical facilities and microgrids.”

“Kellogg has worked for software start-ups and privately held companies, Fortune 500 and large multinational corporations, including The Shaw Group. Kellogg led western region business development for Siemens Power Technologies International’s transmission planning software, training and consulting. She also served the Western Electricity Coordinating Council, including its specialized software selection task force. Kellogg holds a Bachelor of Science degree from San Diego State University and has trained extensively in solution-oriented selling practices.

“Paladin DesignBase is a comprehensive power systems engineering modeling platform” said Kellogg. “Unlike conventional design/CAD packages, Paladin DesignBase gives power systems professionals the means to create more than simple CAD drawings; they can create robust electrical designs and power system simulation of mission-critical facility or microgrid electrical systems that are ‘Perfect on Paper’ before costly procurement is ever initiated. This is just a superior product. Paladin DesignBase is the only platform that allows the design model and the solution engine to be re-deployed for real-time data acquisition and operational monitoring using Power Analytics’ Paladin Live solution.”
