Power Analytics, a leader in advanced energy and power management solutions, has shipped the first orders of the company’s new product – Paladin® WSM – designed to help data center managers optimize their usable physical space. Early customers include a large international banking company and various financial data services companies listed on the Fortune 500 and Fortune Global 500 list.
“Paladin WSM is for customers with branch circuit monitoring systems that have the ability to monitor and manage their data center power system information. Whether they are larger corporate data centers or colocation centers, the need to manage assets in the white space is paramount,” said Kevin Meagher, Power Analytics President and Chief Technology Officer.
Paladin WSM works with Eaton Foreseer, OSIsoft PI and similar Enterprise Power Management Systems (EPMS) solutions and historians. This allows customers to leverage their underlying systems without disrupting data or incurring the expense of replacing management systems.
The new software integrates facilities and IT technology to improve the management of power, space and cooling. Paladin WSM addresses these areas with three major components: Remote Power Panel manager, Rack View manager and Heat Map. Critical to this application is the ability for the software to integrate with customer billing, asset management systems and other business applications. Additional features/benefits included in Paladin WSM’s first shipment are:
- RPP Manager includes automatic kWh calculator that displays kWh ratings at the branch circuit or breaker level, by customer for all assets owned by that customer, and at the RPP or panel level.
- Current level (amperage) by breaker is displayed in a user-definable, color-coded format for easy display, trending or notification in the live view.
- WSM includes a dynamic connector so changes made in WSM automatically inject revised values into the system without additional user intervention, offering time savings when editing panel schedules.
- A new advanced “inter-widget” communication function combined with template capability results in time savings by reducing time to install and configure. It also increases quality by minimizing potential human errors.
Paladin WSM is available for sale on Dec. 31. For more information visit http://www.poweranalytics.com/paladin-wsm/.
