We’re excited to share some big news about the NY Prize competition, recently announced by NYSERDA.

It’s one of the projects within New York State’s groundbreaking REV (Reforming the Energy Vision) project.

Here’s a quick recap from Greentech Media:

“The NY Prize community microgrid competition issued a request for proposals in February to grant $100,000 to as many as 30 communities to study the feasibility of microgrids.

This week, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority announced 83 winners for the first stage of the competition, nearly three times the original estimate of awardees. NYSERDA received applications from more than 120 communities.”

We’re very proud to announce that we’ve been awarded all seventeen of the New York Prize proposals we submitted.  Each one will begin with a feasibility study (we never start a project without one). Soon we will apply the expertise and technologies behind our Paladin Microgrid Power Management  System™ and EnergyNet™ software platforms. And we’ve already begun meeting with the partners and vendors who will now join the process.

“We are honored to take part in the work that is shaping the REV initiative and bringing innovative and reliable sources of power to the communities participating in NY Prize,” said Kevin Meagher, Power Analytics chief operating officer.
